Little O is another month older!
His personality is really beginning to show. And judging how he behaves now, I’m not looking forward to the terrible twos. I have a feeling life is never going to be laidback and relaxing with our high energy little dude. We’re definitely going to be investing in a leash.
Owen still can’t crawl forward, but he moves every other way possible. Rolling, army crawling, scooting, sitting and lunging forward, pulling and pushing, he makes his way across the room in a flash. He’s figured out how to pull himself up into sitting position on his own and he can also pull himself up to stand using the coffee table, crib railings, or anything else he can reach. I struggle to keep up with my mobile bambino. Which begs the question, why is our baby who is one-fifth my size and who can’t walk or run faster than me?? And where does his endless supply of energy come from? My mom keeps asking me if there’s caffeine in my breast milk.
I’ve been trying to teach Owen to wave and give kisses. Not much luck so far. His version of a wave is vigorous arm flapping. And his version of a kiss involves teeth, mauling my face with his mouth. That’s our son: a cute mini form of Hannibal Lector. Ahh, crazy eights!
And here are Owen’s March-themed photos for his 8-month birthday. Since our tot is a wee bit Irish, we of course had to go with a St. Patrick’s Day themed set-up.
Behind-the-scenes blooper time!
Perhaps I shouldn’t have tried to take photos outside in sub 40 degree temperatures.
Shades of Gollum protecting his ring.
Catching flies…Owen’s mouth was wide open with bird-like screeches coming out during our entire photo shoot.
Ready to leap off the chair! Owen finally figured out how to rock the chair on his own this month.
Forget about the number eight; Owen is more intrigued by the infinity sign.
Nothing like a tasty snack of upside-down number eight.
Finally calm, imagining he’s sunbathing on a sandy beach with his bear…
I love the pictures! I would love one of the ones with the St Patty’s theme.
