My little sis is married!
On July 26th, Roberta and Bobby tied the knot by the sea in Cape May, New Jersey. The wedding was simply beautiful, exactly what I expected from my perfectionist sibling.
The wedding had a nautical and beach theme. The setting at the Chalfonte Hotel in the historic heart of Cape May was ideal for Roberta’s dream seashore wedding.
So here’s a look at Roberta and Bobby’s wedding! My sister’s wedding photographer, James Pittman, did a wonderful job capturing their day. Luckily I can share these beautiful photos from James, since I didn’t have time to take photos myself as I was too busy being a bridesmaid and worrying about my toast.
First, the pretty bride…
The flowers were so white, fresh, and simple. Lots of baby’s breath and hydrangeas. Kate’s Flower Shop of Cape May did a great job with my sister’s vision.
Bridesmaids in blue and groomsmen in gray.
The outdoor ceremony – the weather was absolutely perfect! It wasn’t even humid, a rarity for the Jersey shore.
The happy couple in the garden and on the dance floor.
Handcrafted programs for the guests.
Sand dollar seating cards in a rustic box of sand. Love it. Doesn’t Roberta have terrific handwriting?
The little details from the reception decor.
Aren’t these the cutest favors you’ve ever seen? Roberta made tiny cups of Johnson’s caramel popcorn, a shore staple, with little “Thanks!” tags attached with miniature clothespins. And because one favor isn’t enough, she also made little bags of saltwater taffy wrapped with blue and white twine.
Roberta did a fabulous job with the wedding’s signature drink – a delicious white sangria with blueberries, nectarines, and apples. Yum!
And now some family photos! Owen looked so cute in his pinstripe suit.
What a beautiful family you have! Thanks for sharing. Fran
Hi Louisa! What a beautiful post!
Seeing these now for the first time. I’m so glad you had a wonderful day with them. The Chalfonte is beautiful…their color choices and the photos are stellar!
I am the local Southern NJ musician girl who provided Roberta & Bobbie’s ceremony music. Roberta sent us a lovely note which is now on our facebook page.
