The 4th of July is a super fun holiday – summer, grilling, fireworks. There are no gifts to buy or cards to send. It’s an easy celebration. But since I love all holidays more than a normal person should, I had to make things a little more complicated for Independence Day and throw together a 4th of July party with decorations. All because I found cute plates at HomeGoods that I HAD to use. For real.
So I came up with some red, white and blue party ideas and styled a simple celebration. Take a look!
These USA letter balloons from Target are my favorite. I love balloons and these are the perfect backdrop for a 4th of July photo shoot or party.
I set up our 4th of July party at my parents’ shore house in the backyard. The sun was high in the sky, which meant taking photos of the decorations was a challenge and plenty of deodorant and sunscreen were needed.
Hey look – there are those plates that captured my heart! I think it was the silver scallop edge that really sold me.
The paper cups and napkins are from Five Below. I put a Twizzlers red, white and blue pull ‘n’ peel candy in each cup for guests to fill up with the other holiday candy treats.
These cute straws are actually a find from years ago at Target.
This banner and garland set was the perfect patriotic wall decor for the party area (another find from Meri Meri on Amazon). I tossed some star balloon lanterns on the ground – so easy to do, but makes a party so festive.
A fast and simple idea for your 4th of July celebration – red, white and blue fruit kabobs! Just alternate marshmallows, strawberries and blueberries on skewers.
Check out the cute flag table runner from Target!
I quickly decorated a cake with red, white and blue sprinkles and light blue sixlets candy, but you can find another easy 4th of July cake decorating idea here.
Have fun on your holiday weekend! xoxo
So where’s the party? ❤️
