My little nephew is ONE! And I have to show you his beyond-adorable teddy bear party for his very first birthday. Plush teddy bears and shades of blue made for a beary cute celebration for a super sweet boy!
I’ve mentioned countless times before that my sisters are super creative and great at decorating (almost as good as me…I kid, I kid). And during the month of August, I get to see their awesome creativeness at their kiddos’ birthday parties (yes, we have a lot of August birthdays in our family). This year we had a blast at my niece Clementine’s ice cream second birthday party (the ice cream truck came!!!) and my nephew Dominick’s teddy bear first birthday.
Months ago I was talking to my little sis about Dominick’s first birthday (yep, we were talking about a party that far in advance because that’s how we roll with our craziness) and I suggested the idea of a teddy bear party theme, since Dominick is so cute and cuddly. Roberta decided this theme would be perfect for her cub and she went all out with the decorations.
Roberta picked a simple blue color scheme with gingham. She thought of every detail and Dominick’s party was overflowing with cuteness (including the birthday boy himself). I tried to capture everything with my camera, so here are all the pics:
I was happy to design Dominick’s invitations for his teddy bear party! I love how they turned out. And now they’re available in my Etsy shop.
Lots of adorable stuffed teddy bears were part of the decor. And my sis made little party hats for them!
How about these kraft brown disposable plates made into simple teddy bears? So cute and easy to do!
My sister even added tiny paper bears to the striped paper straws. (Also, I’m in love with her beverage cart from Target clearance! Must. Find. One.)
Beary sweet garland!
Love Dominick’s photo display of his first year! I did something similar for a snow-themed first birthday – it’s so easy to do with a little washi tape. (And see that bear beside the chalkboard? That’s Owen’s binky bear…his old pacifier is implanted inside the bear.)
Dominick is so photogenic (just like all of my nieces) – his photos make great party decorations!
The cake, the glass jar bears, the striped snack cups, and the blue fabric garland…my sister makes a beautiful treat table!
It’s summertime, so of course berries are needed at a beary birthday party.
Another photo display of Dominick’s first year, because you can never have to many pics at a first birthday party.
My sis made these DIY party hats and topped them with blue felt balls.
She thoughtfully put together favors for the little guests – plush teddy bears with gummy bears. Perfect for a teddy bear party!
The birthday boy was mesmerized by his cake.
My sis has serious skills when it comes to decorating her mantle.
The “big” guests each received a mini honey bear jar with a teeny tiny thank you tag.
Happy Birthday, Dominick!
