With Winnie’s birthday in October, a Halloween-theme party was inevitable and I love how her pink Halloween birthday party turned out! It was a spooky-fun time, but not “two” scary for our little two-year-old.
It’s been nearly a month since Winnie’s birthday, but life has been busy and challenging the past few weeks. So you get to see Halloween decorations during November when it’s snowing outside!
Since “two” rhymes with “boo,” ghosts obviously needed to be a part of Winnie’s second birthday celebration. And I didn’t want the typical orange pumpkin decorations, so I used black, white and pink colors instead. Despite not using orange, I thought a Halloween theme was a bit boring. But I ended up having a lot of fun with it, and her pink Halloween birthday party ended up being one of my all-time favorites! Winnie loved her party too. Every time she saw her decorations, she yelled “Happy Birthday, Winnie!”
Winnie’s Pink Halloween Birthday Party
The ideas for Winnie’s second birthday party were obviously inspired by Halloween. So there were bats, ghosts, and spiders. My favorite part of her celebration was the chalkboard that I wrote “Boo! She’s Two” over and over. I painted a bunch of pumpkins in various shades of pink. Then I arranged them under the chalkboard for a spooky cute display.
I love letter balloons, and the black “BOO” balloons were a perfect wall backdrop for her party. I added some bats and pink fans and honeycomb garland.
The ghost favor bags were filled with pink and black candies and ghost Peep marshmallows. The bags were an easy DIY project – I cut circles from black adhesive vinyl and stuck them on glassine treat bags to make ghost faces.
I also made ghost faces out of vinyl for the drink bottles. And we served popcorn and marshmallows in neon pink plastic shot glasses topped with a plastic spider.
The cake had the easiest topper ever – marshmallow ghost Peeps on sticks! Then I sprinkled the top of the cake with some pink sprinkles and candy.
I had so much fun creating Winnie’s invitation with a ghost holding balloons that say “BOO.” Picking a design for this invite was tough since I had so many ideas! I can’t wait to make more Halloween designs for my Etsy shop.
I love how the store-bought candy eyeball decorations can so easily make a treat look amazing!
Of course, I have to share photos of my Winnie Bear. Isn’t she the cutest birthday girl?
Take a look at more photos from her special spooky day! I hope you like Winnie’s pink Halloween birthday party as much as I do!
