It’s fairy fun to be four! Winnie is about to turn five, and I thought I’d finally share her dreamy sparkly fairy princess birthday party from nearly a year ago.
Winnie loves sparkle, but she also loves playing in dirt (like all Kopp kids) so I made sure her fairy theme party had a little bit of a woodland vibe. It was a lot of shiny gold stars, pink ribbon, and moss. The party really felt enchanting, and Winnie enjoyed every moment. She was the happiest little 4-year-old ever!
Fairy Garden Party Ideas
For the party decorations, I decided to stick with a very classic fairy princess birthday theme. So I used the usual colors: pinks and greens and metallic gold. On the party table and ceiling light, I scattered and hung moss and fake moss-covered rocks to give a forest feel. I added a bunch of pink, blush and cream satin and velvet ribbon and gold tinsel garland for some whimsy. My amazingly thrifty sister who always finds the best deals found perfect fairy wings (pink and green!) from the dollar store. I placed one at each kid’s seat.
I went all out with the gold, including gold disposable utensils and pink napkins with a gold edge. On the tabletop, I scattered a bunch of glitter gold and pink stars that I cut out with paper punchers. But my favorite details were all items that I ordered from Etsy:
- The tablecloth fringe backdrop from Glam Fete (which I hung across our kitchen windows and looked dreamy with the light coming through)
- The rock place cards with names written in gold lettering from The Artisan Abode Shop
- The personalized cake topper with Winnie’s name from Fancy Free Finery
- Handmade wands from The Little Bee Studios (these were so perfect and the kids still play with them almost every day)
Fairy Party Favors!
And I think the biggest hit of the party was probably the favor! I put together mini fairy garden kits in little terra cotta pots. Each pot had a few mini garden items, moss and rocks with a tag that said “thank you fairy much.”
Let me know what you think of Winnie’s fairy princess birthday party! I’m going to share about a million more pictures below, so you can see all the enchanting fairy fun!
