Another Look at Baby Kopp’s Space

Our work on the nursery continues and I thought I’d share another quick peek of Baby Kopp’s nest. We finally cleared out the guest bedroom furniture and accessories, and now it really does look like a nursery instead of a storage closet. I’m beginning to feel like we might actually be ahead of the game as far as the nursery goes. Can’t say the same for my baby reading. I’m still on Month 3 in What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and I haven’t even picked up my books on breastfeeding and caring for a newborn yet, except for when I need to move them to clean. But, heck, I have a good 11 weeks left to read all that – plenty of time for a quick reader like me. Plus, it’s better to wait so the information is still fresh in my mind when the baby gets here, right?

Despite putting off reading my preparatory materials for infant care, I’m so ready for It to arrive. I know this last trimester will fly by and that we have plenty of stuff that we need to get done yet, but I can’t help but feel impatient. Maybe my restless nesting mode is kicking in. Or maybe I’m just tired of all the kicking in my stomach (where does this thing get all of its energy from???). Or maybe I just really want to be able to eat lunchmeat and drink wine again. Well, I’ll just have to keep focusing on fun baby room projects to get me through these last 11 weeks! Here’s a look at our newest nursery stuff:

We’re waiting for this cute glider to arrive from Walmart. I was very tempted to purchase it in a green and white stripe fabric. But I ended up being practical and ordered the safe beige color (no surprise for someone whose wardrobe mostly consists of black, navy and beige).

Instead of getting a matching ottoman for the glider, we decided to get a pouf instead. We ordered a custom pouf from Etsy.com and chose this super bright orange circle fabric.

I’m going to use this set of vintage frames as the wall decor above Baby Kopp’s crib. Look for a future posting about this art project – it’s going to be good, I promise!

  1. when my good friend christyn was pregnant, she didn’t even look at what to expect when you’re exptecting. i yelled at her whenever i went over to her house. so i read it to her, and i actually liked it! naturally when i got to the birthing section of the book, christyn kind of threatened my life if i read that part aloud. love the furniture!
