I’ve decided to share some of my favorite things every now and then (since I’m such a trendsetter, lol). For this first edition of stuff I love, I’m featuring a book subscription service for kiddos, adorable hair bows from an awesome Etsy shop, and the next big (but super tiny) thing in swimwear. Plus, I’ve got a couple discount offers for my readers! So check out my latest obsessions —>
Bookroo
It seems like there’s a monthly subscription service for anything and everything lately, doesn’t it? I’m not usually into them; who needs to get crazy pattern socks each month?? But Bookroo is worth checking out, especially if you’re a mom like me, with two small tots that are extremely difficult to wrangle up to take to the library (and misbehave once there). It’s no secret that I’m a bibliophile and I hope my kids will be too, so Bookroo immediately appealed to me. The children’s book subscription service delivers wrapped books (picture or board) to your doorstep each month. Here’s why I think it’s cool:
- My kid loves to unwrap stuff, so the package delivery makes him get excited about books and reading.
- It’s a great way to discover new titles and find great reads that you might never have checked out at the library or bought at the bookstore.
- The Bookroo books are quality reads. I was pleasantly surprised to find the books were topnotch selections, well written and illustrated and entertaining stories.
I should also mention that the customer service is terrific and the packaging is recycled and recyclable. If you want to give it a try, use this link to receive $4.00 off your first order. Happy Reading!
Bows from Little Love Leighs
I love simple and sweet bows for Carmendy to wear. And the twist knot bows from the Etsy shop Little Love Leighs are perfect. They have become a staple in her baby wardrobe. All the patterns and colors are stylish and pretty…I wish I could buy all of them!
Leigh, the shop owner, is offering a discount to Ice Cream Off Paper Plates readers – YAY! So go check out her awesome selection of bows and bow ties (that’s right, she’s got cute stuff for little girls and guys!) and use the coupon code ICECREAM for 20% off a purchase of $10 or more. Leigh will also throw in a surprise bow when you redeem the code!
Boys Beach Boxers from Zara
As Owen gets older, I have a harder time finding cute clothes for him (that I can afford). But these swim shorts from ZARA made my summer! They are tiny, boxer-brief-style stretchy beach trunks and they look adorable on little boys. Can we please make this the next big trend in swimwear?? Because when I see Owen in these, I know that smaller is better. And stinking cute. Right now they are on sale, so grab a pair for the little boy in your life!
