He’s baaaacckk!
He’s actually been back for nearly three weeks. But only now am I finally getting around to sharing our North Pole Breakfast celebration for our Elf on the Shelf. Just in time for Christmas!
Last year we started this tradition with the creepy doll and it’s the best part of the Elf duties. (I have yet to get into the nightly moving of the Elf…daily commitments are not my thing. However, throwing a little party is most definitely my thing.)
During the breakfast, we wrote letters to Santa, read a letter from Tiny (our elf), read and watched The Elf on the Shelf, and ate lots of yummy breakfast treats. The children received Christmas tree ornaments and Christmas pajamas. And of course, Richard made an appearance in his elf costume.
Take a look at our fun morning welcoming back Tiny the Elf:
The whole reason for this shindig was to put my kids in matching outfits. Thank goodness I managed to capture a couple decent photos of our coordinating duo without any underwear showing or tears.
Storytime! Don’t let this photo fool you…their attention only lasted about 4 minutes.
Some of us were afraid of the Elf:
Probably because of these green hairy legs:
Others were wondering why their Daddy was dressed this way. One day they’ll figure out that their parents are a little crazy. Until then, I’ll enjoy this time when we’re not yet embarrassing. 🙂
Your party looked absolutely marvelous! You are truly making such wonderful memories for all the “littles .” God bless you and Merry Christmas!?
